Talking place several decades after the events of Midst and Moonward, UNEND focuses on a supernatural ship and a remarkable crew set forth on an expedition to explore the highest heights, deepest depths, and furthest reaches of the known cosmos. But their journey is fraught with peril as they discover truths and realities far stranger than any of them could ever have imagined.

The small desert planet of Midst spins on the border between two halves of the cosmos: the dazzling Un and the mysterious Fold. Life is simple for most of the planet’s inhabitants… until an influential civilization known as the Trust takes an interest in Midst and sparks an unexpected chain of events, intertwining the lives of three complicated antiheroes. Also, unrelated to any of that, Midst’s moon is about to fall out of the sky and cause reality to eat itself alive, so that’s not great either. Unsolved murders, cult brainwashing, and supernatural darkness all combine to create a clusterfuck of cosmic proportions.

TWO THINGS ARE CLEAR:
They're not from around here. And they know more than they're letting on.
Less clear, on the other hand, is their relationship to all of this. Astute listeners, picking up on several infinitesimal clues in the compiled materials, have occasionally suggested that Midst is not actually a true story, but rather a massive multimedia deception fabricated as some kind of twisted exercise in creative self-expression. Or maybe it’s interdimensional field journalism. Maybe it’s both. Or neither. In any case, the whole thing is probably part of some larger agenda.
